The mid 50's Chevy's are great cars, aren't they except for the darned wiper system. Gm's cable and spool experiment lasted just long enough for their Designers to realize that it didn't work. This is due to the fact that gm switches control the wiper motor via the ground wire and these systems must be controlled by switching the positive wire.
The kit comes complete less assembly lube, arms and blades, escutcheons and model specific knobs for the switch. All those stock pieces will fit on this system. This will free up engine compartment room for that big block motor or give more clearance for an hie distributor.
Uses original arms, blades, trim, knob and bezel. It is specifically Designed to completely replace the original factory wiper system. Chevy owners have had to put up with the stretched and broken cables for forty years but no longer.
In order to create the correct geometry, the system for 1957 cars includes a five piece metal bridge assembly with adjustments Designed to fit any 1957 Chevy car with the following exception cross mount master cylinders will not fit with our Raingear system installed.
