It went to one other owner who also never installed it, due to health bills. More photos available. Ready to bolt into an XLR to replace an aging motor. Should get mpg even in a classic, with 320hp.
Supposedly has only the 7 miles on it that gm put on it during test driving at the factory. Would be a very cool retrofit, or a super simple replacement if it is getting dropped back into a Cadillac XLR. Also has motor and transmission mounts, trans linkage, Cadillac XLR north star shrouds and beauty covers. The story with the motor,is that an executive at the gm plant had the motor and trans, and all accessories, computers, and wiring pulled from the car and snogged for storage by gm at the factory.
Then I got it, still bolted to the crate, never reinstalled in any vehicle since the XLR it was pulled out of he was going to put it in a project of his own, but never got around to it. Also has a factory warranty tag still wire tied to the motor, but due to time passed, is not under gm warranty anymore. I have a ton of information on how to swap it into a classic car, and will pass along that info if requested.
Could also be used as a retrofit and dropped into a classic Chevy or Cadillac with a bit of modification to utilize the Cadillac motor mounts. Still has factory markings on the motor that read 7 miles. All hoses in perfect, unused condition.
