This has the gray lid. Test the pump and note number of drying sweeps. Only the first three are plainly labeled on gray lid.

The Trico vacuum washer pump was initially used on Cadillac's, with a different shaped reservoir and lid. The number on top of vacuum unit is stamped with part or I ask that you please look over my pictures very closely. To adjust, remove the screw and activate pump fill side chamber with fluid.

Thus the name co-ordinates washer system. Fortunately, Trico supplied the co-ordinates washer system to Chevrolet for its Corvettes. Replace the screw and tighten gently against its rubber gasket. Vacuum is connected, with rubber tubing, to one of the two connections on top reservoir can.

The system is difficult to troubleshoot since little documentation was available in original Chrysler literature. At least 15 of vacuum source is required to operate the pump. I am not an expert, nor do claim to be. Water coupler is connected, with rubber tubing, to the hose that feeds two nozzles directing washer fluid windshield. The front of valve has a nylon rod that projects, through wiper switch and knob, is connected to push button.

There are no broken nipples cracks or breaks that I can see am aware of. This activates the pump and fluid is pushed out for 10 to 15 seconds. A vacuum activated diaphragm slides electrical contractors, within the switch, and sends current directly to wiper motor, bypassing switch.

Below I found this article regarding the product as a guide for reference only. The co-ordinator head of pump is stamped with an x or Zn. When the push button is pushed in and then released, valve vents instantaneously breaks vacuum pull within pump. The last connector should be called co-ordinator and is connected, with rubber tubing, to Trico windshield wiper switch mounted adjacent electric motor.

Control is connected, with rubber tubing, to a valve in the back of wiper switch. Much of the information, in this article, was obtained from various Cadillac and Corvette vendors restoration services acknowledged below. A little known fact is that one of the model's supplied had exact same gray lid, pump and reservoir as used in 300-f. The pump has four connections.

To decrease the number, of drying sweeps, unscrew adjusting screw slightly and continue testing procedure until proper number sweeps are obtained. There is a bleeder screw on the side of pump.
