Details:

The armature was subjected to bar, ground and 180 degree resistance testing. I am a retired licensed aircraft mechanic with degree in mechanical engineering. The cover gasket and the gearbox are new. All non electrical parts were ultrasonically cleaned and inspected prior to reassembly.

The brushes were properly fitted to the commutator. The wire from the terminal 53 to positive brush holder was replaced. Contact me if you are looking for any other air cooled VW wiper motor. The VW part number is 211 955 111F.

The armature commutator was turned on a lathe. The motor was dismantled and all non-electrical parts were ultrasonically cleaned inspected. The armature thrust bearing clearance was adjusted. This is a very good wiper motor.

It should provide years of reliable service. This motor does not incorporate a park function. Feel free to contact me with any questions. The first thirty minute test was done with the cover removed to monitor for brush arcing and chatter.

The commutator slots were cleared. The second thirty minute test was done with the cover installed to monitor for motor temperature rise. Minor flaws, dents, nicks and scratches, are present in the polished aluminum motor cover. The motor brushes were found to be serviceable as seen in the photos.

The sale item is a restored SWF 6 volt, single speed wiper motor.
